It has been a busy week. We bundled up and went downtown to watch Santa arrive on a fire truck to flip the switch on our town’s Christmas tree.
And the cat napped on.
We went to a Christmas tree festival and had some stranger take our picture hoping for that perfect picture to include in our Christmas cards this year. It was not quite what I was hoping for so we will try again later.
And the cat napped on.
We once again bundled up and went to a U-cut Christmas tree farm. We found the perfect tree, cut it down, and then milled about drinking hot drinks and eating candy canes.
And the other cat napped on.
Tonight we put up and decorated our tree. The cats were far from impressed although they each took a moment to wake from their respective catnaps to inspect what we were doing.
Oh yeah, and somewhere in this week we also managed a trip to Zoo Lights. It has been a crazy Christmas filled week and I am loving (almost) every minute of it. If truth be told, I could use one or two of those catnaps but I don’t think Bleu or Delilah would be willing to trade my busy schedule with an hour or two of theirs.
Your family is absolutely precious!
Happy Holidays to you and your wonderful boys 🙂
Ahh, thank you!
May you and your family have a wonderful holiday season as well.
Your cats crack me up! They don’t seem to mind that they are sleeping in your shoes or a box. Too funny! Hopefully you will get to take a nap this week, and I hope it’s in a comfy spot!
Bleu, our white male cat, can sleep pretty much anywhere and does not give a second thought to how comfortable the place is. He also sleeps in awkward positions, as if he was walking along and, bam!, he was overcome with sleep. Delilah (and myself) prefer couches and beds for our naps. I have not yet had my catnap this week but I did go to bed earlier than usual last night if that counts.
I could take a series of similar pics of our cat. Some days I’m not sure he’s even alive..
The imperfect Christmas photo is cute, anyway.
Yes, cats have the dead pose pretty much down, don’t they.
I am ok with the imperfect Christmas photo but am holding out for one with us in our reindeer antlers. 🙂
I think that’s a great family photo! I love the Grinch T-Shirt, too.
Hehehe, I think the Grinch shirt offers up a lot to the photo but I have my heart set on a picture of us in our reindeer antlers. Perhaps both will be necessary.
What a great weekend! I love all the photos! I was also going to comment on the family photo and say that I love that your husband is wearing the Grinch t-shirt but I see Christiana beat me to it!!! LOL!!
It has been a busy but very fun week.
Well, since you also commented about the Grinch shirt and I love it too, I think I will have to make it mandatory dresswear for Husband in the picture this year.
Wonderful weekend!
I think your photo is great…
I do love Christmas time but it can be a bit overwhelming. Seeing the cats lounge around while we rush around helps to balance things I think.
The photo is nice and if we don’t get the “perfect” one, I think I will use this one.
What a wonderful time you all must have! Happy Holidays!
It is such fun to see the magic of the holidays throught the eyes of my children. Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment. I hope you have a wonderful holiday.
I hope you do to!
AND
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
Our ADHD kitty needs to take a few pointers from your nappy kitties. Great pics!
Bleu seems to have moved right in and claimed our house as his own. He is a nap freak. Quite often I see him crashed out under the table or even on the couch as if he just sort of fell over and face planted, legs out in awkward angles. It is pretty funny.
Hysterical! Those are the poses funny videos are made of 😀
I think your pic is perfect!
But don’t you think it could be even more perfect if we were all wearing our reindeer antlers? 😉 Perhaps I am fixating too much on the whole antler thing…
why yes–that would have added a whole other dimension!
Great holiday traditions you are making there. It looks like Bleu has adapted to your house fairly well. How is Dexter doing?
Yup, Bleu is almost too comfortable and has taken to chasing Delilah around and “investigating” countertops, tabletops, shelves where there are breakables whenever he thinks no one is watching.
Thanks for asking about Dexter. A few weeks ago I did not think he would make it until Christmas but he is doing better. His back legs are still tough to get out from under him when he gets up but he loves walking and he is getting around as he needs to (still accidents in the house but he can’t be blamed for that.) We are looking into doggy acupuncture as a way to improve his mobility. Do you have any thoughts on this?
Beautiful family photo! And cats, oh well, I am a huge cat lover. I don’t have my own cat, so I love all cats around! Here are some cat pictures: http://www.picnicatmarina.com/2012/02/my-oscar-weekend-in-photos.html
Thanks. I agree, cats make for great pictures and you sure took some good ones!
