Yesterday I donned my lucky pants and sweater and headed off to an official testing center to take the two state required sub-tests for Elementary Education, the WEST-E. Throughout the entire two and a half hour long test, I had in the back of my mind the very real fear that the extremely loose inside button on my lucky pants would fall off and slide down my pant leg. I believe that thought keep me on the edge of my seat and provided me with enough internal humor to survive the test without a nervous breakdown.
Here is the Lorax with my test results.
And a close up in case you could not read the first one…
Yup, me and my lucky pants have done it again. For those of you with extremely inquiring minds, the button in question did indeed fall off.
Although it was polite enough to wait until I was safely home for the night.
WOOHOO!!!!!
Seriously! I was under the impression I would have to wait 2 weeks to find out if I passed so when the lady at the testing place gave me the news I actually did a slightly repressed (because I was in public after all) happy dance in the lobby. I am so happy!
Congratulations!!
Thank you! I am over the moon about it.
Congratulations!!!
Thanks! I am still randomly looking at my husband and busting out with a “I PASSED THE TESTS”. It is a beautiful thing.
Remember those commericals with Michael Jordan and Spike Lee – “yo money it’s the shoes.” Well, I guess you have a new version. Btw, I loved the movie the Lorax.
Hehehe – yes. I rather like my pants version.
I love the Lorax book but have not yet seen the movie. I will have to check it out.
It’s a cool movie – well done. Truthfully, I don’t know the book so well.
Congrats! That’s awesome. 🙂 I’ve thought about starting to sub once Taz gets in school. Not sure what requirements I’d have to meet though.
It is very awesome, I am still celebrating about it. I think I have met all the requirements so that I can sub. I needed to pass all these tests as well as the two prereq classes I am currently taking to start on the master’s program this summer.
Wow. Nicely done. Yay for the lucky pants!
Thanks! I highly recommend everyone get themselves a pair of lucky pants. 🙂
yay, well done!! 🙂
I forgot ‘pants’ means ‘trousers’ – I was wondering why you had buttons on your knickers…! (‘panties’?)
Hehehe – your comment made me laugh. And by the way I love the word “trousers” but I get funny looks if I use it in place of “pants”.
Congratulations Shoes!! I have “Power Girl Panties” which are nice, since they are worn under the slacks and have no button that can fall off.
The button did made for a good distraction. I HATE anything that has to do with sewing and since it was an inside button that eventually fell off, I am still wearing around my fav pants, just minus the button.
