Now that we are consistently in the triple digits here in Phoenix, Husband has decided it is time to do some roof maintenance, maintenance he has been putting off.
Apparently we have a plethora of ladders, ranging from the very bulky telescoping ones to the short not really ladder classifiable ones.

Not our ladders, but if we clustered all of our ladder and ladder-like items together, we would get pretty darn close.
He went looking for the medium telescoping one but could not find it.
A ladder. Could not find it.
It is not small and so it was rather disconcerting when a search around and within the perimeter of our property did not bring forth the missing ladder.
A day or so passes and he finally settles on having to lug around the massive ladder to do his roof work. As he walks around the side of the house, not even looking for it, he finds it.
Again, remember this is a good sized ladder.
I am inside in air conditioning, working hard on something productive, I’m sure, when I receive a text from him that he has found the missing ladder. He sends picture proof resulting in this text thread:
The case of the missing ladder has been solved, but the question of whether his marbles are missing remains unanswered.
(As an aside, I pointed out to Husband his improper usage of “too” in his text. He tried to blame sun glare and roof tar.)
What is the largest and most impossible thing to lose that you have lost? Don’t worry, I won’t judge (too much).
Just this morning my husband went looking for the circular saw I bought him a few years ago. No luck.
Maybe momma squirrel borrowed it and is planning to saw his barn in half..
Ha! Maybe or the woodchuck is borrowing it to help with his wood chucking.
We mainly lose the small important things like phones and keys which sometimes turn up again but other times do not! π
Ah yes. The loss of a phone or your car key is more damaging to your day to day living than the loss of your ladder.
I can’t recall any large items! Large in terms of number of times lost are keys, phones, and glasses. The latter hasn’t been as much an issue lately, since I mostly wear them driving & am not currently doing much of that.
Well that is one upside to all this. At least you know where your glasses are.
Thanks for sharing this post. Made me smile & kind of remind me of myself when I lost my marbles …which happens frequently. Iβm not good with DIY projects so yesterday, wife what me to hang a wooden inspirational frame to cover the power switch. I miscalculated the nail & did it short. When I repeated it, I accidentally turned off the switch and everything has to reboot. Son wasnβt happy as he was in the middle of a Fornite battle. My excuse , itβs the wooden frames fault, it slipped.
Nice blog
Thank you!
I once thought I lost my wallet, but I found it in my purse right after I cancelled all my credit cards! How embarrassing! I’m glad the ladder is no longer missing. π
Oh no, how awful! I am glad, however, that your wallet was safe and sound all along even if you did go through the pain and trouble cancelling credit cards.
I am glad the ladder was found, but a bit embarrassed to admit it even went missing.
