Simple Sunday – Tale of Two Towns (ok, one is a city, but you know what I mean)

I grew up on an island in Washington state, my hometown surrounded first by farmland and next by the sea.

I have moved, two times now, to Phoenix, Arizona a city surrounded first by sunshine and next by the desert.

Two places, so very different, that hold a special place in my heart.

I am an elementary school teacher, a former microbiologist, a mom to a herd of two boys, and a grilled cheese sandwich and beer connoisseur.

Washington is on my bucket list…. and we did Sedona last year which was amazing.
I know I couldn’t take year round Phoenix heat, we went in January which was perfect…. but I agree. You definitely have lived in two extremely different locales.

  2. That is a pretty big change. I think I’d prefer the former. Heatwave in So Cal, and I can’t imagine how you handle this nearly full-time!

How lucky to experience two very different environments!
