While watering my backyard herbs, this little guy decided to visit and critique my actions. He does not look terribly impressed. Or perhaps he was there to let me know that the humming bird feeder was low.
I found this large feather floating in our swimming pool after the humming bird moved on. Not his, of course, but it gave me a moment to think on the great variety nature provides.

I have been calling it a hawk feather, but I have no idea what type of bird it comes from. Very pretty, however.
I always pick up feathers too. Have a lot of wild turkey…they are gorgeous.
I am glad I am not the only feather collector. They are beautiful in color and structure.
