Simple Sunday – A Forgotten Rind

A watermelon rind tossed aside and forgotten only to be found and enjoyed by another.

SS Rind

While I would have preferred the boys use the bowl left out specifically for watermelon rinds, I am glad it did not go to waste.

  1. Cute..if a slug could be considered cute…. as long as it’s not eating my Hostas. 🙂

I find them to be cute, in that creepy slug way, too. Maybe you need to provide them with watermelon rinds so they leave your Hostas alone.

On the rare occasion that I actually water the backyard (where this picture was taken) the following morning the yard is dotted with him and all his friends. Way too many slugs! It is a miracle they have not found my raised veggie garden. My guess it that they are too lazy to climb the stairs to the top yard where the garden is.

Bleh, slugs. They destroyed my crops of basil and oregano. I’m not a big slug fan.
