What has Come Before and What may Follow

2014

  • I completed my Masters of Arts in Education
  • Cody only had one seizure
  • We decided to move back to Arizona (although for the boys it is a move-to)
  • Carter learned to wink
  • I landed my first teaching job
  • Husband has been a great help to his father, diagnosed with Alzheimer’s
  • I finished my stint as a reader columnist for the Tacoma News Tribune
  • We lost both of our cats
  • We have rekindled friendships with those from our past

This has been a very busy year defined, I would say, by change.  Lots and lots of changes.

2015

  • We hope to buy a house and settle in for a while
  • Pets – Haley needs a friend and we don’t like being a cat-free family
  • My first summer as a teacher – I am thinking lots of family time!
  • Backyard BBQs
  • Travel and exploration with the boys to introduce them to Arizona
  • Desert hikes

I don’t know what the future holds, but we have some hopes and ideas of what it may look like.

May you have a very happy New Year.  Be safe.

May all your hopes and ideas come true! 🙂 Wow, sounds like you have had many changes this year, some good, some bad. The northwest will miss your spirit around these parts, but I wish you well as you move to Arizona! All the best for the New Year! Happy 2015 to you and your family! (P.S. You’ll have to write a post about something as equally horrifying as geoducks in your new home in AZ, so we can be Freshly Pressed together!)

Yes, we have had a lot of change (too much for my taste).

Your P.S. made me laugh and say Ahhhh all at once (and made my day). I secretly covet being FPed and hate myself for wanting it. Your Freshly Pressed post linking to mine is about as close as I imagine I will get. I will get to work finding and writing about the AZ equivalent of the geoduck just for you. 🙂

It certainly has been a big year for you all. I hope that the year ahead is wonderful for all of you! 🙂
