Last weekend as I was focused on cleaning the garage, Husband shaved his facial hair.
Without warning.
The last time this happened was about ten years ago. Basically, Cody and Carter do not know of a time when he did not have facial hair.
Carter, nose in a book, did not seem to notice, but Cody did and immediately proclaimed that he looked like Lord Voldemort. He tried to say it in the nicest way possible, pointing out it was really just the eyes and chin. Husband was a good sport and even posed for a picture.
Oh, by the way, Husband is the one on the right, although I imagine the lack of a black robe gave it away.
Shoes On The Wrong Feet 
The one on the right! Ha! There is some resemblance… What a good sport your husband is.
He really is! I asked him more than once if he was fine with me posting this, just to make sure.
Always good to make doubly sure. What a trooper! Even though it meant being compared to … well, you know who.
Just a few short days after the you know who comparison, he took our son Carter to the orthodontist, and the office lady compared him to Allen Stone. Not being all that hip, we had to look him up.

On a good hair day, with his glasses on (and not trying to look Voldemort-like) , I can totally see it (although Allen may be a tiny bit younger…).
I’ve never heard of him, either, but yeah, I can sort of see that.
On a side note, you’re able to go to the orthodontist still? My kids’ appointments were a month ago, but were canceled. I’m nervous now that their braces, expanders, etc. will go too far without getting their usual adjustments.
Yes, our orthodontist considers braces and spacers medical devices that require attention and adjustments. I’m glad as it would make me nervous without their normal check-ups. Hopefully yours opens up soon!
Hrmm… I’m going to call my ortho’s office and see if I can get a hold of them to ask if I ought to be concerned yet or not. Thanks!
