Papa Quail was most displeased to find his little one out of the nest and away from the protection of the bush at the base of our mesquite trees.

The papa quail was very vocal and eventually convinced the little guy to go home. I love the picture of the baby as you can see his little top notch.
Beautiful adventure. Brave little one reminds me how parents feel when their kids starting to ask and explore independence. My son wants to hang out with a friend tomorrow for the first time the pandemic began. Wife freaking out but I said, it’s okay as long as he updates us where he is and goes home on time. I used to be like him though times have change a s world sadly less safer. Happy Summer my friend.
Indeed, us parents will always worry as our “little ones” venture further and further from the nest.
