Cooler than Yesterday

Even in the summer, especially in the summer, Husband and I get up early and walk the dogs. We were more than half way through our two mile walk this morning and I was dragging. The sun was clawing its’ way up the eastern edge of the mountains; the air was still and heavy with heat.

Husband turned and smiled at me. “It’s going to be cooler than yesterday, only 115 today!” He meant it to encouraging I’m sure, but it was not.

  1. Yeesh. Not envying you that. :/

  2. Fried eggs on the sidewalks?! Sheesh, that’s HOT!! We only had 90 degrees today, but 70% humidity. Poached eggs 🙂

Ha! We actually tried that once. It took a long time to congeal and did not cook fully, but it was a fun (if not hot) activity.
Poached eggs, indeed! I think I would rather have our heat with no to low humidity than your humidity. We are looking at 117 through the weekend. ☀️☀️ 🧯️

Nope. Nope. Nope. I simply couldn’t stand it. If it gets above 78 degrees I’m done.

  4. That is warm. Hang in there!

  5. Now that’s hot!! We had a heat warning a couple of weeks ago, but thankfully it’s cooled down since then. Try to stay cool out there.

This week will be hot, yesterday topped out at 118, but it will be cooling off a bit come next week. Lots of indoor activities and swimming will carry us through.
