What do you do when it is a gloomy rainy August day in the Pacific Northwest? Well, I don’t know what you do, but I take the good advise of my three-year old and bake some cookies. I wanted to try something new but it needed to be easy, something I was sure at least one of my kids would eat, and we needed to have all the ingredients. This fit the bill perfectly. Seriously good stuff. If you want to see beautiful photographs of these cookies all artfully displayed and looking amazing, check out Bakergirl’s blog – it is quite nice and I think I actually have food photography envy. If you would rather see some “action” pictures of two boys mesmerized by my Kitchen Aid that I took while trying to keep their fingers from getting wacked off by said appliance then please read on.
The verdict is in: three of the four of us love these cookies. I am beginning to think that my five-year old was switched at birth as his lack of a sweet tooth is quite suspicious. This recipe will surly be repeated, sooner rather than later.
sounds sooo much better than how I spent my day! I helped B clean out his aunt’s kitchen…umm yeah GROSSSS
Ugh! Kitchen cleaning is never a good time, though it is nice once it is done. How about I eat a cookie or two for you. 🙂
